The Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Foundation Annual Golf Outing
The Atlas Foundation hosts an annual golf outing on Staten Island. The day begins with breakfast, continues with 18 holes of golf and lunch on the course, and concludes with a festive dinner where various awards are given out. There are numerous corporate giveaways along with a sports memorabilia auction. The event is a "don't miss" great day of fun and laughs, and at the same time raises money for the worthy causes the Foundation helps. This year the golf outing will be held on September 22, 2009 at La Tourette Golf Course.

CSI raises over $5,400 on Grace Hillery Breast Cancer Awareness Night

The College of Staten Island dropped a 7-6 decision to Monroe Community College in seven innings, but even a loss and some wet weather couldn't put a damper on the sixth annual Grace Hillery Breast Cancer Awareness Night in Willowbrook. The event raised over $5,400 through T-shirt sales, raffles and donations, the highest total in its six years. The event has now raised over $22,000 since the game's inception in 2004. Teddy Atlas, who donated the pink jerseys worn by CSI players, threw out the first pitch. Also honored was Jessica Daly, CEO of Retna.
